Dear all,
after the success of the past edition, we organize a second appointment with our Roman weekly workshop on the archives of the Holy See and on the Roman Catholicism , which will be held in Rome from 23rd to 27th January 2023. The seminar will consist of morning lectures, workshops on documents and guided tours to the archives.
The seminar will introduce, through a multi-disciplinary approach, to the study of the Papal Curia, to its archives and to the sources for the history of the Catholicism and will learn how to know, read, and understand the different kinds of documents preserved therein.
The seminar is addressed to young scholars in Humanities (students enrolled in graduate and Ph.D. programs in Early Modern, Modern and Contemporary History and History of Art but also archivists, museum curators, anthropologists and established scholars who are currently working on global Catholicism).
We reserved up to 5 registrations, for a facilitated cost, to master students, not yet graduated nor enrolled in a Ph.D. program.

siamo lieti di comunicarvi, dopo il buon esito della passata edizione, che l'Istituto Sangalli propone il secondo corso intensivo internazionale sugli archivi della Santa Sede e del cattolicesimo romano, che si terrā a Roma dal 23 al 27 gennaio 2023. Il seminario si articolerā in lezioni frontali, esercitazioni sui documenti e visite guidate agli archivi e vuole offrire ai partecipanti un'introduzione allo studio della Curia Papale, dei suoi archivi e delle fonti per la storia del cattolicesimo a livello globale.
Il corso si rivolge a dottorandi e ricercatori in storia moderna e contemporanea e in storia dell'arte, archivisti, curatori museali, antropologi e studiosi che si occupano di storia del cattolicesimo a livello globale. Sono previsti 5 posti, a costo agevolato, per studenti magistrali in discipline umanistiche.
